The Perfect Storm of Motivation

It was such good timing, my sister-in-law, Christina sent us three huge boxes of baby stuff we get to borrow. Al was out of town skiing, and there was a snow shower that dumped just enough to keep me inside.

It was the perfect storm of motivation, to get me to tackle the messy rooms. I told myself I couldn't open any of the boxes until I had finished sorting the majority of "the mess."
So here is evidence of the progress I made:

Okay so there are still some boxes of filing we'll need to take care of, but really this is about as good as our bedroom ever gets! And the spare room....

So once Al came back we tore into the boxes of baby goodies. We are so blessed to have such generous family! Christina, Rick and Nicholas sent a ton of clothes, bibs, towels and blankets.

They even sent an awesome play gym and SWING!!! I was SOOO excited about the swing. Its all in near new condition.

Some of the things I most excited about:

the swing
a snap n go stroller that takes up less space than the whole travel system
a yoga video I hope to use maybe this weekend!

the bumbo

on a seperate note we got more snow on Tuesday of this week, not enough to keep me from work , and it mostly melted by afternoon, but I was able to get some pictures of the trees holding beautiful snow at the parking lot near work. Here are some of them:

And now we are bracing for the snow storm of decades here in DC. Maybe I'll have some more impressive pictures of snow accumulation after the weekend. Maybe I'll even find motivation to finish filing or sew the curtains or toss pillows (or maybe I shouldn't hope for too much ;) )

  1. Way to go! You are definitely on a roll with getting everything organized and ready.

The swing made me chuckle. It reminds me of those old fashion air dryers I'd have to sit under at the "beauty salon."

You're becoming a real pro with your new camera. Love the second and third snow shots. They look like they were taken with black and white film.

I expect with today's snow you might even get a day or two off work next week. Where are they going to have pile all of it?
